Project PI, Dr. Nargess Memarsadeghi, works as a computer engineer for Science Data Processing branch (code 587) of the Applied Engineering and Technology Directorate (AETD) at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. She is interested in design and development of efficient algorithms for large scientific data sets with applications in earth sciences, planetary sciences, and astrophysics.
NASA scientists and engineers can benefit from this project by receiving different computational approaches to their proposed computational problems from academia. If you are a NASA scientist or engineer whose project requires design and development of a computational algorithm to proceed further, we can help you. We will formulate a case study based on your project containing a brief introduction of your science area, project, terminologies used, and the proposed problem. Then, the case study will be given as an assignment or course project either to an intern on center, or students taking relevant courses in universities. Finally, the results of their research and development will be provided to you. If you are a NASA scientist or engineer interested in collaborating with enCOMPASS to advance your scientific research please contact us.
